Along the entire outer side of the island one finds wall to wall cobblestones. For thousands of years these have lain at the water’s edge and knocked into each other such that they have gotten the rounded shapes they have today. Several houses and walls on the outer side are built and decorated with cobblestones and they blend in well with the natural landscape.
Note! It is no longer permitted to take away or move the cobblestones on Jomfruland.
